Legon Presec And Co Welcomes The B-Park of Recycle Up! Ghana

 

 

 B-Park as known in the Recycle Up! Ghana – Accra catalogue per vision and focus is poised to extending the knowledge about the benefits of plastic waste to the basic and secondary schools in Accra through education and implementation of source segregation.

 

The team leader, Mr. Prince Yeboah Amoako with few words strongly opined that educating the younger generation is a priceless effort to curbing the plastic waste menace of Ghana and the world at large. Mr. Mortey of the Eduplasts’ journalism fame further asked the team leader how this exercise affects the world at large. In doing justice to the above question, the team leader smiled and gently whispered, “We all share the same oceans”.

 

Following the discussion, it was brought to our notice that, the B-Park team has successfully won the hearts of two schools in the Legon environ. That is to say that, it has completely implemented the Recycle Up Your School Project in St. Andrews Junior High School and phenomenal Presbyterian Boys’ Senior High-Legon (PRESEC). In response, Mr. George Adumako and Mr. Enock Amponsah Apeadu, the respective headmasters of LEGON-PRESEC and St. Andrews School were not only ready to commit to the exercise but were very grateful and impressed about how students (RUG team) are expressing interest in the sanitation issues of the country.

 

Rosina Eckener, who doubles as the secretary of TeoG-Accra and the team revealed that, the team is still pulling strings together to expand its coverage and apparently out doored that, the University Of Ghana Basic School may be the next beneficiary of the good work.

 

Mr. Prince Yeboah Amoako expressed a wholesome gratitude to Technology Without Borders and the German Embassy-Accra for making this vision a reality and financially supporting the cause respectively.
